Phonyx Terms of Use
Last updated: 11 October 2026
These terms apply to the Phonyx: Phone Test & Tips app ("Phonyx") and the website https://phonyx.wdlab.app, both made by Workaholic Developers ("we"). By using Phonyx you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Phonyx.
What Phonyx is
Phonyx shows your phone's specs, runs hardware tests you guide yourself, measures your connection speed, offers tips, and can publish a signed report of a checkup that others can open with a link or code.
Reports are information, not a guarantee
- A Phonyx report records what the phone's own sensors and system reported, and what the person running the checkup answered, at the moment it was made. Many tests depend on that person's own judgement (for example "Did you hear 3 beeps?").
- A report is not a warranty, certification, appraisal or inspection of a phone, and not proof of ownership. Phones can change, fail or be repaired after a report is made.
- The signature proves only that the report has not been changed since our server signed it. It does not prove that the answers in it are true.
- If you are buying a phone, inspect it yourself, check its IMEI and that it is free of accounts and locks, and use the in-person buyer check before you pay.
Your responsibility for what you share
- You decide whether to create a report, how long it stays online (7, 30 or 90 days) and who gets the link. Anyone with the link or code can see it.
- Seller and buyer are each responsible for what they share and for the honesty of any answers they give. Don't create reports for phones you don't have the right to sell or test, and don't use Phonyx to mislead anyone.
- Don't put anyone's personal information into a report or an abuse report.
Abuse and takedown
- Anyone can flag a report from the "Report abuse" link on its page. When several different networks flag the same report, it is hidden until we have reviewed it.
- We may hide or remove any report that looks fake, stolen, offensive, unlawful or that exposes personal information, and we may block abuse of the service (for example automated mass uploads).
- To ask for a takedown or appeal a hidden report, write to info@workaholicdevelopers.com with the report code.
Hardware tests: use with care
Some tests turn the screen to full brightness, switch on the torch, play sounds through the speakers or vibrate the phone. Use them sensibly: don't run them while driving, near someone's ears or eyes, on a damaged or swollen battery, or where bright light or sound could cause harm. Phonyx only uses the controls your phone's system offers to every app, but you run the tests at your own risk, and we are not liable for damage to a phone, its battery or anything else that happens while or after you use Phonyx.
Speed test
Speed results are estimates of your connection to our server at that moment. They use real data on mobile networks; your carrier's charges apply.
Tips
Tips describe features of iOS and Android as we understand them. Systems and manufacturers change their menus, so a tip may not match your phone exactly. Follow them at your own discretion.
Availability and changes
Phonyx is provided "as is" and "as available". We may change, suspend or end features (including reports and the speed test) at any time. We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version, and continuing to use Phonyx means you accept the update.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for any decision made on the basis of a report, a test result or a tip, including the purchase or sale of a phone. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the consumer law of your country that cannot be limited.
The store you downloaded from
If you got Phonyx from the App Store or Google Play, that store's own terms also apply. Apple and Google are not responsible for Phonyx or its support.
